This 38-year-old female patient presents to the clinic today for ALCAT testing. She is interested in testing because of problems with chronic migraine headaches. She is having migraine headaches once a week. She is taking Relpax for this. She also has insomnia and fatigue. She has constipation, gas, and bloating associated with foods. She has severe itching to the point of scabs in her scalp and hands that seems to be brought in her stress. She has a history of bulimia and depression. She is on medications for depression. She still has pain, cramping, nausea, weight fluctuations, food cravings, binge eating, and water retention. She has persistent canker sores, sore throat, mood swings, irritability, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, skin rashes, dermatitis, and excessive sweating. She has had these symptoms for years.
Gas and bloating.
We recommend compressive platinum ALCAT testing based on her extensive amount of symptomatology related to food intolerance. Venipuncture was done today and will be sent to lab. We will see her back in two weeks to discuss results with our nutritionist.
