Migraine headaches

This is an 18-year-old female patient, who presents to the clinic today for ALCAT testing. She complains of migraine headaches. She is having migraine headaches four days a week. Headache is described as throbbing and pounding pain that is unilaterally with associated nausea. She has fatigue most days of the week associated with this. She has had weight gain of 10 pounds in last two months. She has gas and bloating with meals. She has had symptoms on and off since 2006 and they are progressively getting worse and not responding to any treatments including medications. Symptoms are aggravated by light, heat, and sound. She takes Excedrin and drinking water which seem to help as well as sleeping and getting into a dark quiet room.

DIAGNOSES:

Chronic fatigue.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
We will recommend comprehensive ALCAT testing. Venipuncture was performed today and sent to lab. She will return to the clinic in two weeks to discuss results with a nutritionist and for dietary planning. Also, we would recommend chiropractic treatment for her migraine headaches.
